Tessa Gerber is the repository manager at the University of Zurich, working within the university library’s open science services. She is part of the Open Access team, which is responsible for repository development, metadata management, and open access support. Since 2022, she has been part of the project management of the migration of „Zurich Open Repository and Archive (ZORA)” from EPrints to DSpace on behalf of the University Library.

Previously, she worked as a research associate at the Staatsarchiv des Kantons Zürich on the “Pilot Project Premodern Sources”, contributing to the development and testing of workflows for the cataloguing and digitisation of historical sources. This included the use of Transkribus for machine-learning–based handwritten text recognition.

Tessa Gerber holds a Master of Arts in History and Film Studies from the University of Zurich and has completed further education in Information Science at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons.
