Barbara Hirschmann is Head of Publishing Services at the ETH Library, the main library of ETH Zurich.
She oversees the operation of ETH Library’s publishing services including the institutional repository for publications and research data, the open access support service, and ETH Zurich’s DOI-Desk. Barbara has been a member of the DSpace Leadership group since 2018 and coordinates the Swiss DSpace User Group since 2024.
Barbara Hirschmann has a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vienna. She completed a postgraduate training as an academic librarian in Munich (Bavarian State Library) and Berlin (Ibero-American Institute).
