Blackboard merges with Anthology, an American EdTech giant

The solutions offered by Anthology have more than 150 million users across 80 countries worldwide. The company’s portfolio includes systems that support virtually every aspect of university operations, from student management systems to financial and accounting systems. The merger with Blackboard extends Anthology’s portfolio with e-learning solutions, creating one of the most comprehensive IT ecosystems for universities in the world.
The parent company of the newly combined organization will be Anthology, with the Blackboard name continuing as an integral part of its brand portfolio. Led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Milton, a team of top-tier executives has been identified across both organizations to lead the combined company. The company’s headquarters will be in Boca Raton, Florida. The company also will maintain its global facility footprint including the main Blackboard office in Reston, Virginia.
Blackboard and Anthology will talk about their shared vision for working with the education sector at the AnthologyTogether international conference scheduled for July 11-14 in Orlando.
