Pascal Becker has been working with repository systems since 2006. At the University Library of Technische Universität Berlin, he helped build one of the first institutional repositories for research data and publications. As a computer scientist and developer, he has contributed numerous features to DSpace and identified as well as resolved security issues and bugs. In 2014, he became a member of the DSpace Committer Group. In 2015, he founded The Library Code GmbH, a Certified Platinum DSpace Service Provider. In 2018, he initiated the foundation of the first national DSpace consortium and continues to serve as one of the two spokespersons of the German DSpace Consortium. He also is a member of the DSpace Leadership Group and the DSpace Steering Group since 2018. Since 2014, he organizes the annual “DSpace Praxistreffen,” the main meeting of DSpace users from German-speaking countries.
