The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice is developing a digital work environment for its administration. Under a newly signed agreement, PCG Academia will implement the Digital Student Folder based on the WEBCON platform. The new solution will streamline the management of documentation for students, doctoral candidates, postgraduate students, and course participants, ensuring the full digitization of processes related to maintaining their records.

The next stage of a long-standing partnership

SUM has been using the PCG Dziekanat dean’s office system for many years. The implementation of the Digital Student Folder is a natural extension of the existing IT environment and the next stage of the university’s cooperation with PCG Academia. Thanks to integration with the dean’s office system, files and Digital Student Folder will be created automatically, eliminating the need for manual record-keeping and ensuring data consistency.

Modern Document Management

The Digital Student Folder will serve as the electronic equivalent of a traditional student folder. This solution will enable the collection, processing, and archiving of documents, as well as ongoing verification of their completeness.

The system will include electronic files, E-Portfolios assigned to specific degree programs, and eDocuments—both those generated automatically as part of processes and those added by authorized staff. Document statuses will be updated automatically based on data from the dean’s office system.

The implementation will also include integration with Microsoft 365, the university’s email system, and the CAS authentication system. A comprehensive permissions model will ensure secure access to documentation in accordance with the university’s organizational structure.

A proven solution for universities

The implementation will be based on the WEBCON platform, which enables the digitization and automation of administrative processes. Thanks to its flexible architecture, it allows for the rapid development of applications tailored to the university’s needs and easy integration with existing systems.

PCG Academia has been implementing WEBCON in higher education for years, supporting universities in the digitization of processes and electronic document workflow. The company’s expertise is also confirmed by its status as a WEBCON Premium Partner, a designation PCG Academia has held continuously for several years.

Project co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO)

The implementation of this project is co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) as part of an investment initiative aimed at modernizing the educational infrastructure of medical universities and increasing enrollment quotas for medical programs.
