We are launching another strategic project for higher education. As the consortium leader, we have signed a contract to implement a modern e-services platform for WSPiA Rzeszów University as part of the “MODERN E-SERVICES PLATFORM FOR WSPiA” project. The investment, valued at nearly 8 mln zł, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the “European Funds for Podkarpacie 2021–2027” program.

The goal of the project is to create a modern, integrated digital environment that will streamline teaching and administrative processes, increase the availability of e-services, and enhance the university’s cybersecurity.

As the consortium leader, we are responsible for coordinating the entire project and implementing key solutions that support WSPiA’s digital transformation. As part of the project, we will modernize the university’s existing systems, implement new e-services, and establish a modern academic repository based on DSpace CRIS technology. The consortium partner is responsible for delivering and implementing advanced IT infrastructure, which will serve as the foundation for the university’s new technological environment.

 

Over 20 Years of Joint Development 

The implementation of this project marks the next stage in the long-standing collaboration between PCG Academia and WSPiA Rzeszów University, which has been ongoing for 23 years. The first agreement between the parties was signed in 2003, and since 2011 we have continuously provided maintenance services and developed solutions to support the university’s operations.

Over the years, we have implemented, among other things, a dean’s office system, solutions supporting the admissions process, and tools for reporting data to the POL-on system. The new project is a natural continuation of this collaboration and another step toward building a modern, fully digital university.

 A Comprehensive E-Services Platform for the Academic Community 

The project involves the implementation of an integrated e-services environment that will streamline the day-to-day work of the administration and provide students and staff with easier access to the university’s most important services.

One of its pillars will be the launch of E-EGZAMIN—a modern service supporting the organization, administration, and grading of exams in a digital environment. The solution will be integrated with the dean’s office system and the Active Directory service, creating a cohesive ecosystem for managing the teaching process.

The second component of the project will be the implementation of E-UCZELNIA along with the m-Legitymacja component, which will provide students and staff with convenient access to the university’s most important services via mobile devices.

As part of the project, we will also implement E-REPO, based on DSpace CRIS technology. This modern repository will enable the management of the university’s scholarly output, the digitization of documents, and provide open access to scholarly and educational resources.

Another integral part of the project will be the implementation of a new mobile app for students and staff. This solution will streamline communication between the university and its community, provide quick access to class schedules, notifications, electronic services, and e-payments, and enable convenient use of university services via smartphone.

The project also includes the modernization of the SBS, Edukator, and PZP systems, which the academic community uses on a daily basis. These systems will be migrated to modern technology, gain new integration mechanisms, and operate within a single, cohesive environment. This will streamline data exchange, increase system efficiency, and provide users with even more convenient access to services.
