Remote learning as a cloud service – webinar on Blackboard Learn Ultra
3 September 2020 3 min readingWith great pleasure we invite to a webinar addressed to universities’ employees, called Blackboard Learn Ultra or remote learning as a service in the AWS cloud – case study of the University of Social Sciences in Łódź. Webinar will be held on September 29, 2020, and participation in it will be free, just as in other events we organize.
Soon the new academic year will begin, in which universities will still have to comply with the requirements of the sanitary regime caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The experiences of recent months have shown how extremely important for the comfort and quality of distance learning are the right tools.
In order to achieve the established educational goals in a safe manner for students and university staff, the University of Social Sciences in Łódź has implemented the Blackboard Learn Ultra e-learning platform. University of Social Sciences is the first university in Poland to launch this solution as a cloud service operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Thanks to this, the delivery of the service to the university took only a few weeks from signing the contract. As the academic year is approaching, the speed of implementation is tremendously important in providing students with the highest quality online educational content.
The basis for our discussions will be a University of Social Sciences case study, so you will get to know a real example and authentic experiences from the implementation and usage of the platform. In the webinar, we will present the Blackboard Learn Ultra functionalities and the benefits of implementing the platform in the SaaS (Software as a Service) model. We will discuss the scalability and flexibility of the Learn Ultra solution used by universities of all sizes around the world. During the meeting, we will not omit the key issue of data security.
The speakers at our webinar include: Dr Paweł Morawski – Blackboard Brand Ambassador in Poland, Head of e-Learning at the University of Social Sciences and implementation leader on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Mr Tomasz Olejnik, Head of CEE Public Sector at Amazon Web Services.
The webinar will be hosted by Magda Sochacka, Director for Channel Partnerships at PCG Academia, responsible for the alliance of PCG Academia and Blackboard in Poland. As a Blackboard partner, PCG Academia is the exclusive distributor of Blackboard solutions in Poland.
The webinar will be held on September 29, 2020 from 1 pm to 2 pm. More information and the registration form on the event website: register for the webinar.
