Lukasz Nowak appointed CEO of PCG Academia company
16 September 2024 3 min readingWe would like to kindly inform you that by the decision of the Shareholders’ Meeting of PCG Poland and Public Consulting Group in Boston, Mr. Lukasz Nowak has taken the position of CEO at PCG Academia.
Lukasz Nowak has been with PCG since 2008, when he completed a 2-year management program at the company’s headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. During his stay in the United States, Mr. Nowak participated in numerous projects on the implementation of modern IT solutions for state agencies or school districts responsible for education in the US.
In 2010, Lukasz Nowak co-founded the first two PCG offices in Poland, in Lodz and Warsaw. In 2014, Mr. Nowak participated in due diligence, and consequently in the acquisition of two, Polish IT Companies, operating in the field of education – Librus from Katowice and Partners in Progress from Rzeszow (later transformed into PCG Academia).
In the course of his 9 years on the board of PCG Academia, Łukasz Nowak, together with the PCG Management Team, carried out a thorough organizational, technological and image transformation of the company.
Since the Company’s acquisition by PCG, PCG Academia’s revenues have increased 5-fold, and the company has expanded its product portfolio with more than a dozen new solutions, both proprietary and offered by Polish and foreign partners, including: Anthology, Elsevier, Inspera, or WEBCON.
By 2024, PCG Academia’s client base had expanded by another 11 entities and grown to 80. Among the organizations served by PCG Academia are the top 3 public universities (Jagiellonian University, Warsaw University, Warsaw University of Technology) and the top 3 non-public universities (Leon Kozminski Academy, SWPS University, WSB Academy), according to the Perspektywy 2024 Ranking.
At the beginning of September 2024, PCG Academia announced the signing of a contract worth nearly PLN 4 million with the University of Zurich (UZH), listed among the top 20 universities in Europe and among the top 60 universities in the World. The agreement with UZH is a consequence of PCG’s deliberate strategy to promote and sell the company’s selected products abroad.
PCG Academia is also responsible for a number of educational initiatives popularizing best practices in the area of university management, such as the LUMEN conference, which has been conducted since 2015, together with the Polish Rectors Foundation and Times Higher Education – the largest event dedicated to rectors and chancellors of higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe.
As CEO of PCG Academia, Lukasz Nowak will continue, working closely with the PCG Supervisory Board from the United States, as well as with PCG Poland’s President, Prof. Lukasz Sulkowski, and PCG Academia’s CEO, Mateusz Adamiak.
The intimate appointment ceremony, held on September 13, 2024, at PCG Academia’s headquarters in Rzeszow, was attended by the founders and shareholders of Public Consulting Group from the United States: William S. Mosakowski (President and Founder), Grant Blair (Director of Education), Christopher Connor (Deputy Director of Education) and Daniel Heaney (Shareholder) as well as Professor Lukasz Sulkowski (President of PCG Poland).
