DSpace Lab Days is a monthly series of online meetings designed for the professional exchange of knowledge and experience regarding the implementation and use of the DSpace system. The format of the meetings is flexible: from short lectures and expert panels, through case studies and Q&A sessions, to practical hands-on workshops. The meetings are addressed to members of the DSpace Poland National Group and all repository administrators, digital libraries, developers, and project managers interested in increasing the visibility of scientific achievements through DSpace.

Author identifiers are the backbone of connected research infrastructure and ORCID is at the heart of it.
In this edition of DSpace Lab Days, we are joined by Paloma Marín-Arraiza from ORCID to explore how ORCID iDs and the ORCID Member API empower research discovery and connect researchers with their work across repositories.
The session is structured in two parts: first, a conceptual and strategic overview of what ORCID offers and why it matters for institutional repositories, then a live demonstration of how the ORCID integration works inside DSpace – from pulling author data into a record to using it as a starting point for building a person’s CRIS profile.
