President of PCG Polska, Professor Łukasz Sułkowski, is a winner of this year’s edition of the Internationalization Stars 2022 Award. The awards, granted this year for the fifth time, are designed to honor and promote individuals with outstanding achievements in the development of internationalization of Polish universities.

The award for Prof. Łukasz Sułkowski was granted in the Research Star category. It is awarded only to individuals who conduct research on internationalization, widely disseminate their research results, and support and promote new trends and theories related to internationalization of higher education.

Prof. Łukasz Sułkowski, who is the President of the Board of PCG Polska, is also the Chair of the Department of Management of Higher Education Institutions at the Jagiellonian University, as well as a Professor at Clark University and at the University of Social Sciences. He is an author of over 300 publications and a leader of 15 research grants.

In the field of the internationalization of higher education, Prof. Lukasz Sulkowski engages in a wide-range activities. In 2004 he established the first master double degree program in Poland in cooperation with Clark University. Since 2000 he has been the coordinator of international programs at University of Social Sciences creating an exchange network with over 100 institutions. He participates in international organizations and associations: American Academy of Management, International Family Enterprise Research Association, Reseau Pays du Groupe de Vysegrad and European Academy of Management. He also served as Vice President of Polish Accreditation Committee responsible for international cooperation. As a visiting professor he gave lectures and conducted research at several dozen universities around the world.

The award ceremony will take place during the gala of this year’s edition of the International Students in Poland Conference. The event was planned on 27-28 January 2022 in Wroclaw, but due to the current pandemic situation in Poland it was moved to the second half of March – exact date is to be announced. The event is organized by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP), Wrocław University of Environmental and  Life Sciences and the Educational Foundation “Perspektywy”. The conference is organized in the hybrid formula.

The Award is given by the Jury consisting of representatives of Polish institutions and organizations involved in the development of internationalization, and its Honorary Chairman is Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Chairman of CRASP and Rector of the Silesian University of Technology.
