From May 20 to 22, 2026, the University of the Azores will host CRIS2026, an international conference dedicated to the latest developments and challenges in research information systems (CRIS). The event brings together researchers, managers of funding and research institutions, evaluators, librarians, research administrators, ICT experts, and decision-makers from around the world.

This year’s conference is held under the slogan: “Transforming the role of CRIS in the context of artificial intelligence, open infrastructures, open software, and research evaluation.” CRIS2026 is an opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices in the design, harmonization, and development of CRIS systems at the local, national, and international levels.
