13 May 2020 2 min readingTLC Europe 2020, the annual conference of our partner Blackboard dedicated to education with the use of modern technologies, starts on May 18th. This year, for the first time, the event is organized as a series of virtual meetings, taking place over three weeks, until June 5th.
The conference program covers six educational topics addressing the greatest challenges in online education faced by academics and students. Each of the 2-hour sessions will include presentations by academic teachers containing a number of practical tips and innovative ideas for the implementation of remote education, to be implemented at your university.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in order to be able to explore the most interesting issues for them and take advantage of the speakers’ experiences. The event will also be attended by students as speakers, which will complement the discussion on distance learning with their perspective. We cordially invite you to participate!
We especially recommend the following sessions:
Tuesday, May 19th at 2pm – 4pm.
“Continuity of education in turbulent times”: in this session we will be able to hear about the experiences of not only educators, but also students in the context of online learning. We will also learn how institutions adapt to the challenges of teaching and learning during the coronavirus pandemic.
Thursday, May 21st at 2pm – 4pm.
“Fostering Inclusive Education and Accessibility”: in this session UK universities representatives will introduce the methods by which any university can build an inclusive learning environment and make its content, technology, and services accessible to all students.
Tuesday, June 2nd at 2pm – 4pm.
“Effective Assessment Practices”: in this session academics will share the best practices and tips for online exams design and assessment.
