The purchase of the system is part of the “Accessible – Open – Creative PLUS” project implemented by Kozminski University. Thus, Kozminski joins the ranks of leading universities around the world that use Blackboard in remote, stationary, and hybrid teaching.
Kozminski University is a leading business university in Poland, holding the prestigious triple crown of accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, EMBA) and distinguished in the field of digital support for educational and administrative processes.
The decision to implement Blackboard was preceded by a process lasting several months, during which the university thoroughly analyzed and compared leading e-learning platforms from Poland and abroad. Ultimately, Blackboard met ALK’s requirements for functionality, advanced digital and educational accessibility, including for people with special needs, and quality of customer service.

About the Blackboard platform
Blackboard is a modern educational platform developed by the American company Anthology, designed to support modern teaching and learning. It enables the creation and management of online courses, communication between students and lecturers, assessment, and monitoring of educational progress. Its key advantage is its flexibility and adaptability to the needs of various institutions – from traditional teaching models, through hybrid ones, to completely remote ones.
ALK students will gain access to teaching materials, assignments, tests, and discussion forums in a single, integrated environment. Blackboard’s intuitive interface, available on both computers and mobile devices, will allow for convenient use of the platform anytime, anywhere.
Advanced analytical functions will allow lecturers and administrators to track student activity, evaluate teaching effectiveness, and make better-informed teaching decisions. Thanks to accessibility-enhancing features, the platform will enable the automatic generation of teaching materials in alternative formats, provide feedback to lecturers on the level of accessibility of materials, and offer practical tips on improving the accessibility of educational content. The platform will be integrated with the PCG dean’s office system and the Inspera electronic examination system, which will significantly increase its functionality and streamline the daily work of teaching and administrative staff.
Cooperation between PCG and ALK
PCG Academia’s cooperation with Kozminski University in the area of digitization of university processes has been ongoing for 18 years. During this time, PCG has provided ALK with a number of modern solutions supporting the management of teaching, research, and administration, including a dean’s office system, a mobile application for students and lecturers, the Inspera examination platform, a scientific repository, and soon also Blackboard.
Successive generations of ALK employees and managers have made valuable contributions that have significantly contributed to the development of PCG Academia’s offering as a leading provider of IT services for universities in Poland and Europe. ALK representatives have been actively participating as speakers at the LUMEN conference for years – an event dedicated to professional university management, organized jointly by PCG, Times Higher Education, and the Polish Rectors Foundation.
