The positive experience of the Medical University of Bialystok from the pilot implementation of Blackboard Learn Ultra platform, has led to the extension and expansion of the cooperation between the Polish university and the American leader in LMS solutions.

PCG Academia, Blackboard‘s exclusive partner in Poland, launched the Learn platform at the Medical University of Bialystok in May 2020 in response to the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. During the past academic year, as many as 7,000 students and several hundred lecturers used the system. As the platform was met with great enthusiasm and favor from its users, the University has decided to extend and expand its cooperation with Blackboard and PCG Academia.

Under the newly signed agreement, an new module – Ally – will be launched in addition to the currently used modules Learn (the main platform) and Collaborate (a video conferencing system).  Blackboard Ally supports the creation of accessible and attractive learning materials by the lecturers. With this tool, students will be able to convert content available on the platform into alternative formats such as audio, epub or HTML. Teachers, on the other hand, will be able to see the level of accessibility of content posted on the platform and generate concrete suggestions for changes.

The Medical University of Bialystok, along with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University or the University of Social Sciences, is an another Polish university that supports the process of student education with the Blackboard Learn Ultra platform. All solutions offered by Blackboard are delivered to the university as a cloud service, which contributes to their scalability and reliability. In the unanimous opinion of users, the advantage of Blackboard products is also their intuitiveness, which in turn translates into wider use of the platform at the university.
