We invite proposals from practitioners who have led, developed or contributed to repository migrations, integrations or innovation projects that align with the conference themes. If you manage or develop a DSpace repository, work with CRIS integration, run legacy-to-modern migrations, apply AI to repository workflows, or migrate cultural heritage collections to digital repositories, we want to hear from you.
Repository managers, librarians, IT specialists, metadata and data curators, research administrators and cultural heritage professionals from universities, research institutes and related organisations across the CEE region and beyond who can present hands-on, practice-driven work.
Proposals should present clear, transferable lessons and practical outcomes. We welcome:
– short case studies and lessons learned
– technical talks and system architecture deep dives
– demos and live technical showcases
– posters showcasing regional projects or prototype tools
Relevant topics include but are not limited to:
– migration to DSpace 8/9 and DSpace-CRIS
– legacy-to-new migrations, metadata mapping and ETL pipelines
– metadata interoperability, persistent identifiers and aggregator integration
– AI-powered workflows: OCR, metadata enrichment, intelligent harvesting, AI-enhanced search
– migrating museum, art and design collections, IIIF and multimedia handling
– governance, sustainability and community collaboration during and after migration
All presentations must be delivered in English.
Please submit via the conference website’s online submission form the following items:
– presentation title
– abstract (max. 300 words) describing content, practical outcomes and relevance to a chosen session
– preferred session (select one from the programme)
– format preference (case study, technical talk, demo, workshop, poster)
– presenter name(s), affiliation and short bio (max. 150 words per presenter)
– contact details (email and phone)
Submission deadline: 31st of March 2026
Proposals will be evaluated by the programme committee for relevance, originality and practical value. Selected presenters will be notified by email and provided with practical information about timing, session format and technical requirements.
Selected presenters will be invited as special guests of the conference. Accommodation for the duration of the event will be provided. Please check the website for details on travel support and speaker responsibilities.
